DESCRIPTION:Newburyport Art (NAA) presents the 2023 Members' Open Holiday Show. As a cornerstone of the lively arts scene during the festive season\, Newburyport Art continues this tradition of celebrating our members' wide variety of work around seasonal themes of festivities\, holiday\, winter\, snow\, and joy. On December 8th\, from 6:00pm 8:00pm\, the NAA will host its opening Artists Reception & Holiday Party. It is free and open to the public\, coinciding with the 2nd Invitation Night as the organization's participation with the City's festivities. The evening will also feature the raffle of a donated painting by celebrated area artist Rick Hamilton\, who has donated the work to benefit the operating fund for the NAA.\n \n\nFeaturing artistic excellence across a variety of mediums from dozens of artists\, the Members' Open Holiday Show exhibits a festive and joyful experience for every viewer. Some works showcase cheerful holiday landscapes and subject matter\, while others offer an abstract interpretation of joy or highlight the joy found in the familiar. \n \n\nThis exhibition takes place in the Sargent\, Hartson\, and Mural Galleries and other holiday gift items such as ornaments\, jewelry\, and small paintings are located in our front window shop. Also available are a selection of brand-new OpArt Holiday cards. Pleinly Noted\, a solo exhibition of work by NAA Featured Artist Maria Nemchuk\, runs in the Hills Gallery alongside the Members' Holiday Show through December 22nd. \n \n\nThe galleries are free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am 5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm 5:00pm. Newburyport Art is closed on Mondays. The ground-floor Hills Gallery has an accessible entrance.
