To celebrate these special winter residents of the greater Newburyport area\, Mass Audubon at Joppa Flats and the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge are holding the tenth annual Merrimack River Eagle Festival on Saturday\, February 7\, 2015. \n\n\n\nCome to the Eagle Festival for a full day of fun indoor and outdoor activities\, and learn more about these magnificent birds and the habitat they share with us. Festival features include: \n\n\n	Eagle-spotting locations along the lower Merrimack with on-site interpreters\n	Bus tours guided by expert birders starting in downtown Newburyport\n\n	(register by phone starting January 5)\n	Live raptor demonstrations at Newburyport City Hall\n	Children?s nature activities and live bird demonstrations at Mass Audubon?s Joppa Flats and the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters\n\nKick start the Eagle Festival by participating in the Eagle Eye Scavenger Hunt\, January 16 through February 7. Visit Newburyport merchants who are Eagle Festival Friends and find hidden eagle facts in their stores.
