SUMMARY:Maritime Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:The Maritime Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony begins with caroling courtesy of the Newburyport Choral Society at 4:45 pm followed by the lighting of the tree at 5:30. In addition\, there will be sculptures installed by the Newburyport Art Association and a dingy provided by Lowell's Boat Shop for children to explore. Yankee Homecoming will have a food collection box available to support local pantries and the Maritime Holiday Tree will feature a tree topper created by Opportunity Works. Hot chocolate will be served! \n\n\n\nThe Holiday Maritime Tree is a major fundraiser for the Custom House Maritime Museum. Life Rings to decorate and submit for hanging on the tree may be purchased though Dec. 23rd in the Museum Store during open hours or at buyalifering.com\n\n\n\nIn addition\, The Museum Store\, stocked with a great selection of unique gifts for all ages\, will be open from 6 pm   9 pm and will offer a Holiday Raffle for shoppers during these hours. The raffle will be for a beautiful gift basket valued at over $100.00. The winning ticket will be drawn after the 3rd Invitation Night on December 17th. (Gift basket winner must be aged 21 or older.)
