DESCRIPTION:The Portermen\, based in Newburyport\, Mass.\, formed in 2015 by Galway\, Ireland native Rob McKeown and his love for sea shanties. Mr. McKeown introduced shanties to his friends\, several of whom he found to have the gift for song\, and soon The Portermen expanded to nine members. The Portermen regularly perform at various venues on the North Shore including Yankee Homecoming\, Blue Ocean Music Hall's Festival of Trees and the American Music and Harvest Festival along with appearances at area pubs and watering holes.\n\n\n\nTheir repertoire includes shanty classics such as The Mermaid\, Bully in the Alley\, Barrett's Privateers\, The Auld Triangle\, Away Rio and The Maid of Amsterdam\, among many others.\n\n\n\nFriday Night Wine Down: Wine sold by the glass on Fridays between 4-7pm.
