From Newburyport\, MA\, Southboud Outlaws will be rocking the stage at Plum Island Beachcoma after years of touring the northeast region of the United States with Massachusetts based blues-rock band Southbound Outlaws\, front-man Justin Laing decided to record his debut solo album in the spring of 2016. The end result was "By Way of the Chains" - an album reminiscent of the smoky soulful sounds of Tom Waits or Leonard Cohen with the pliability of a band like Morphine.\nA Newburyport native\, Justin Laing has some favorite cover songs in store for us by artists such as Ledbelly\, Johnny Cash\, Muddy Waters\, and the late Tom Petty.
