DESCRIPTION:This all-new musical follows three multigenerational women affected by Alzheimer's Disease and their mind-bending journey as they rediscover the meaning of love\, loss and the strength of family.\n\n\n\nWritten by NATE BERTONE\n\nOriginal music by MELISSA MODIFER\n\nLyrics by NATE BERTONE and MELISSA MODIFER \n\nOrchestrations and Arrangements by CONOR KEELAN \n\n\n\nBenefiting the Alzheimer's Association\n\n\n\nBefore heading to New York City\, and following the success of two sold-out\, developmental runs at Marblehead Little Theatre in January of 2018 and Salem Theatre Company in May of 2015\, LETTERS FROM WAR will return to the stage for a ONE NIGHT ONLY BENEFIT hosted by North Shore Music Theatre on May 12\, 2018. Following the performance will be a talkback with cast/crew/creative\, raffle and reception.\n\n\n\nWinner of 3 BroadwayWorld Awards\, including Best Drama\, this all-new musical version tells the story of Mae\, an aging grandmother battling the advanced stages of Alzheimer's Disease in rural Mississippi. After years of living with her adult daughter\, Lily\, the time has come for Mae to receive professional care at a nearby nursing home. But when Madison\, Mae's granddaughter\, finds a mysterious box of letters\, she must race against the clock to uncover the truth of her family's past before her grandmother's memories fade forever. Along with the help of an empathetic stranger\, these multi-generational women embark on a mind-bending journey as they rediscover the meaning of love\, loss and the strength of family.\n\n\n\nThe creative team for LETTERS FROM WAR includes NATE BERTONE (Writer/Lyricist) and CONOR KEELAN (Orchestrations/Arrangements) who met while working on Broadway's A BRONX TALE\, and MELISSA MODIFER (Composer/Lyricist).\n\n\n\nLETTERS FROM WAR will feature IRNE Award-Winning Actress CRYSTIN GILMORE as Mae\, ASHA HIRSI as Lily\, MATT RODIN as Clayton\, ARIEL SARGENT as Young Lily\, ANGELO McDONOUGH as Kent\, with ELAINY MATA returning to the role of Madison/Young Mae\, for which she earned the BroadwayWorld Best Actress Award.
