DESCRIPTION:KATE REDGATE will be our host for this exciting event! For over 20 years\, Kate Redgate has been performing in clubs\, concert halls and music venues honing her craft with her long-time band. An engaging blend of folk/alt-country and Americana\, with hints of the blues\, Kate combines the story-telling ability of a singer/songwriter with a performance style that can carry a full-on rock and roll show. Kate has opened or shared billing with: Richie Havens\, Lori McKenna\, John Gorka\, Lynn Miles\, Harvey Reid\, Cormac McCarthy\, High Range\, Les Sampou\, Vance Gilbert\, Mark Erelli\, Hackensaw Boys\, Mary Lou Lord\, Joyce Andersen\, Chris and Meredith Thompson and many others. Her 2009 CD "Nothing Tragic" is a favorite of Firehouse staff and adoring fans.\n\n\n\nSongwriter SUSAN LEVINE chronicles the emotional and physical landscapes of the in-between -  the haves and have-nots\, the loved and the abandoned\, the sad but hopeful. A finalist in the 2008 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Competition\, the 2005 International Songwriting Competition\, the 2004 Rocky Mountain Folks Fest.\n\n\n\nAmesbury musician CARL CACHO has firmly established himself one of New England's favorite songwriters. Carl has released two albums including his latest\, Spark. Boston-based singer/songwriters\, have been covering his songs and singing his praises for years. Carl brings his appealing and distinct tenor\, to a wide range of musical styles and sensibilities. He is one of those musicians who can do it all well - from bluegrass to rock to folk.\n\n\n\nROB LAURENS has spent time learning folk music from Appalachian fiddle and banjo players\, blues guitarists\, and from recordings at the Library of Congress. Combined with his appreciation of the poetry and myth of American folk song. Ellis Paul describes Rob as "a great contemporary songwriter who demonstrates a clear knowledge\, love\, and respect for the tradition of the folk ballad within his art.
