DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Breakfast Forum with guest speaker Christine Halvorson as she speaks on Social Media in Theory and Practice.  She will provide an overview of online tools such as Twitter\, Facebook\, LinkedIn and corporate blogging.  She will explain what these "social media" tools are and how companies and nonprofits might use them to further their corporate communications and marketing strategies.Halvorson\, along with Stonyfield Farm CEO Gary Hirshberg\, pioneered corporate blogging at Stonyfield in 2004.  She continues to work on Stonyfield's blogs while advising other companies and organizations on the best uses of this "granddaddy" of corporate social media.  Her current clients include the Portugal Trade and Tourism Office\, Carlisle Wide Plank Flooring and the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center\, among others.
