DESCRIPTION:The performance will include new choreography by Joppa directors: Fontaine Dubus\, Cheryl Fisher\, and Jen Steeves\, in addition to three pieces the company performed at Lincoln Center in New York this January. Joppa's signature style is contemporary\, but the show will also include a ballet piece by Pam Smith and modern by Erin Staffiere. Additionally\, student choreography covers a range of styles as well. About half of the dances in the performance are created by the dancers. \n\n\n\nJoppa Dance Company is made up of three sections: Joppa Junior\, grades 4-6\; Joppa 2\, grades 7-8\; Joppa T2\, grades 9-10\; Joppa Teen\, grades 11-12.Joppa\, is a non-competitive youth dance company that focuses on delving deeply into the creative process of dance choreography and performance. As usual\, music selections are an eclectic mix. This year they include: The Orb\, Lana Del Rey\, and Olafur Arnalds.
