Wilkins' paintings are bright and precise\, inspired by the microscopic view of organic matter as seen through a powerful microscope. But the circles and clusters he paints are anything but microscopic. His sense of color and patterns expand his inspiration to large scale canvasses that\, in profusion\, can toy with the viewer's perception of dimension. This is serious\, abstract art but it is also fun. The circles and the strong colors will make gallery visitors smile.
