DESCRIPTION:Downtown Newburyport will host classic cars and live music at the 8th Annual Cruisin' the '50s car show  on Thursday\, August 15 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. Visitors can get up close to view 250+ specially selected classic cars from across New England. This free community event draws huge\, enthusiastic crowds each year to this historic seaport. The event will include a live concert by Flipside in the Bullnose of Market Square from 5:00PM   8:00PM.\n\n\n\nState\, Pleasant and Inn Streets will be closed for pedestrians only\, and more classic cars will be displayed at the State Street Parking Lot and Patrick Tracy Square. This year's Cruisin' the '50s featured areas will include the Institution for Savings parking lot located at 93 State Street in Newburyport. The bank will be displaying a herd of Impalas beginning with the 1958 as well as a live radio broadcast from WXBJ 94.1.\n\n\n\nNewburyport.com has live webcams in Market Square so people can view the activities by going to https://www.newburyport.com/newburyport-live-cams/ if they cannot attend the event in person.\n\n\n\nNEW THIS YEAR - 50/50 raffle tickets will be on sale at the event and at the Chamber's tent in the Bullnose of Market Square.  Be sure to stop by the Chamber tent to purchase your raffle tickets to win half the pot.  Winners must be present and will be announced at 7:30PM in the Square during the show.
