SUMMARY:Come Sing With Us! Newburyport Choral Society (NCS) Welcomes New and Returning Singers to its First VIRTUAL Season!
DESCRIPTION:Beginning on Tuesday evening September 8th at 7:15 p.m. from the comfort of everyone's home\, the Newburyport Choral Society will begin an innovative weekly series of virtual rehearsals led by its new Music Director Ryan Turner. Participants will learn about good choral singing techniques\, practice some of the music we hope to perform at our next full concert\, delve into the history and social context of this music\, and also enjoy some easy to learn pieces.\n\n\n\nWe'll also be bringing in an impressive roster of guest artists including contemporary composers who are rising stars in the choral music field. Because all rehearsals will be conducted via Zoom\, participants will be learning and singing from the privacy and safety of their homes.  \n\n\n\nIf you've been putting off joining a choral group\, this program may be something you would enjoy.
