Her first flirtation with performing was for her family up on the living room table. As a teenager she began performing with bands in the area and became a finalist on "Star Search" in the Detroit auditions.\n\n\n\nThese early exposures to performing prompted her to move to Nashville in 1990. Not long after she caught the ear of Porter Wagoner from the Grand Ole Opry. She was hired to replace Dolly Parton as Porter's new duet partner to perform the hit songs from their remarkable duet career. In time\, she became a featured soloist at the Grand Ole Opry. Colene also once toured the country with the late great singer/songwriter and comedian Johnny Russell.\n\n\n\nHer latest show\, a tribute to the late great Patsy Cline has been seen across the country to the enjoyment of all. Now calling New Hampshire home\, she is now spending time in the studio recording her first project with CMG Nashville Records.
