SUMMARY:Calling All Weavers\, Coopers\, Vampers and Wheelwrights: Let’s Explore Your Ancestor’s Occupation
DESCRIPTION:Exploring your ancestor's occupation can give you great insights into their daily existence\, but how do we go beyond the standard vital records\, census records and city directories? Join us to explore and unearth occupational information through local histories\, trade publications\, old town maps\, federal programs\, surnames and more.\n\nBio: Erin E. Moulton writes books and tracks dead people. As a genealogist\, slipping into old records and exploring past lives is something she has done for herself and for others for over 14 years. Erin is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists\, The New Hampshire Historical Society\, The New Hampshire Society of Genealogists and she serves on the landmark committee for the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire. She has written several books\, mostly for children. You can find her online at www.erinemoulton.com.\n\nPlease Note: This presentation takes the place of our regularly scheduled Genealogy Club meeting. The next Genealogy Club meeting will be on June 14\, but genealogy materials are available to all in the local history room any time the library is open.\n\nThis program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
