DESCRIPTION:Free Oceanfront Concert\n\nGrab your chairs and blankets and enjoy some fun summer tunes\, Saturdays at 7:30PM on the Salisbury Oceanfront Stage. Benches and picnic tables available and plenty of dancing room for everyone! Enjoy takeout from local restaurants\, beach pizza\, ice cream and more\, while you listen to live music from one of the region's hottest bands! Saturday\, August 12\, we welcome Scott Brown & The Diplomats to the Salisbury Oceanfront Stage!\n\nAbout the Band\n\nScott Brown and the Diplomats is an offshoot of a band formed in New Zealand and recently headed by former US Senator and former US Ambassador Scott Brown. The last event by the band was in Wellington New Zealand in front of 15\,000 fans at Beervanna at Sky Stadium. Playing together for almost 4 years\, the band compiled an impressive list of venues and paid appearances. Upon returning from duty in New Zealand\, Brown sought out some of the most talented area musicians to reform the band into Scott Brown and the Diplomats. This talented\, rockin' group of musicians have played with some of New England's best talent and bands. Their great selection of hits that people have grown up with and enjoyed listening and dancing to is legendary in New Zealand and will be the same in the USA.\n\n\nScott Brown Lead Singer/background vocals/Guitar\n\nScott has had an interesting public service career. However\, his real excitement is playing on stage with the likes of Cheap Trick (5 times)\, Warrant\, Firehouse (2 times)\, Alice Cooper\, The Doug Flutie Band\, The James Montgomery Band (numerous times)\, The Ayla Brown Band\, One Bar Heater New Zealand\, the Fabulous Pakeha's and more.\n\n\n\nSean Compton Lead guitarist/vocals\n\nSean has been playing venues across the United States since the 1980's. He's opened for Warrant\, Tesla\, Dokken and Ratt and his band in the 90's had bands like Staind and Godsmack open for them. Currently Sean has been playing guitar alongside drummer Rich Eisner in Ayla Brown's band for 10 years now and has opened for Darius Rucker\, Jo Dee Messina and even Lynyrd Skynyrd.\n\n\n\n \n\nRich Eisner Drums/vocals\n\nRich has performed throughout the US in rock\, country\, and jazz bands. He's recorded with top Nashville players from Kenney Chesney's\, Leann Rimes'\, and Randy Houser's bands and was a member of Danny Klein's (J Geils Band) Full House Band. Rich has opened for Charlie Daniels\, Night Ranger\, Phil Vassar\, Locash\, Kip Moore\, and more. He's been Ayla Brown's drummer for 10 years and is also a drum instructor and designs custom drums.\n\n\n\n \n\nJesse Bastos Bass/vocals\n\nThis New Bedford\, MA native has been a presence on the New England music scene for decades. Since his first professional gig the age of 14\, he has performed with regional favorites Itchy Fish\, The Dolls\, and many more. More recently\, he has toured nationally with Guitar great\, Johnny A.\, as well as Entrain\, The Ayla Brown Band\, and the Chad Hollister Band.\n\n\n\n \n\nGay Perkoski Lead Vocals/Guitar\n\nGay has performed in hundreds of venues throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island\, both as a solo act and as a member of several New England area bands. In addition to performing\, Gay teaches guitar & voice\, leads music programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities\, and books musicians for local clubs and restaurants. She also performed alongside Diplomats' guitarist Sean Compton in an acoustic duo for 2 years.\n\n \n\n\n\n\n*The Salisbury Beach outdoor concerts are typically rain or shine.
