Now a Massachusetts\n\nresident\, she perceives the hues of her adopted home through\n\nbrilliantly colored lenses. Where many artists focus on the grey that\n\noften dominates our view and much of New England landscape and coastal\n\npainting\, Dauge-Kaufmann chooses not to see it at all.\n\n\n\nA rising star in contemporary art\, Dauge-Kaufmann is known for her\n\npassionately positive interpretation of landscape\, her lush\, saturated\n\ncolors\, and for the unrestrained quality of her brush strokes.\n\n"Freedom is my inspiration\," says the artist in describing her\n\nprocess.
