DESCRIPTION:Reframed\n\nAlbert John Belmont & Courtney Seymour\n\nHome is often imagined as a place of comfort\, stability\, and belonging but for many\, it is also a site\n\nof rupture\, memory\, and unresolved tension. Reframed is an exhibition that explores the emotional\n\nand psychological architecture of houses and homes\, tracing the journey from uneasy pasts to\n\nreimagined futures. Featuring painting\, mixed media\, sculpture\, and installation\, the exhibition\n\nexplores the fragile boundary between safety and exposure\, familiarity and distortion. From childhood\n\nbedrooms marked by silence to structures that offered shelter but not safety\, these works confront the\n\nstories we were given about home and the ones we now choose to tell. Instead of preserving home\n\nas a comforting illusion\, the artists in Reframed confront it as a complicated structure. Together\, they\n\ninvite us to consider how home can be reexamined and ultimately reframed.
