DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 53rd Annual Meeting at Blue Ocean Music Hall! This fabulous evening begins with a cocktail reception followed by the changing of board members and features guest speaker and Newburyport native John J. Donahue\, Chairman and CEO of axialHealthcare. We end the night with the exciting awards portion which includes the special Edward G. Molin Community Leadership Award. We hope you'll join us to commemorate another wonderful year with the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce & Industry.\n\n\n\nAbout our guest speaker: A Newburyport native\, John J. Donahue has ascended to the heights of the pharmaceutical industry by prioritizing the quality of patient care. Through implementing novel operational strategies\, he has optimized the degenerating infrastructure of healthcare financial systems for the betterment of patients\, providers\, and medical professionals. John's ability to achieve intersectional developments in healthcare are a direct result of his highly diversified professional career spanning thirty years of unmediated experience in related healthcare industries such as medical benefits management\, health information technology\, and hospital medicine. Committed to solving our complex medical issues and as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of axialHealthcare\, John currently leads a collaborative\, multidisciplinary effort to "optimize pain care outcomes\, reduce opioid misuse\, and materially improve [the] financial" well-being of all involved. Moreover\, he has testified before Congress to advocate for healthcare cost savings and actively engaged with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as well as congressional health advisors to consult on healthcare economics. Previous to John's critical interdisciplinary work with axialHealthcare\, he acted as Chief Executive Officer of Cogent Healthcare\, founded National Imaging Associates\, a diagnostic services company\, and led the multinational pharmaceutical company\, Sanofi S.A..
