\n The Commonwealth Newburyport Cancer Center in collaboration with the Tough Warrior Princesses present the community&rsquo\;s annual cancer survivor celebration---&ldquo\;A Flight of Hope and Strength\, Courage and Love.&rdquo\; \;
\n\n Join us for an evening celebrating the arts and its impact on survivorship. \; Cancer Survivors can begin their evening receiving complimentary beauty services by Interlocks'\; estheticians\, who \;are offering makeup application\, eyelash extensions and mini manicures. \; The Survivors and a caregiver will then join together for conversation and refreshments and \;head into the theater to hear what hope means to others while also enjoying the agility and grace of Rap &lsquo\;N Tap&rsquo\;s Alexa Mellon as she dances &ldquo\;A Tribute to the Caregivers and the Survivors they Love&rdquo\; choreographed by Shantell Sabino. \;
\n\n \;The audience will then be entertained by Author\, Singer\, Songwriter\, Newburyport resident\, and Stage IV Throat and Neck Cancer Survivor\, Denise DeSimone. \; Choosing to befriend her cancer and not battle it\, Denise offers a paradigm shift in how to approach life&rsquo\;s challenges. From the very beginning\, Denise'\;s journey with cancer has touched many lives in positive ways. From public speaking to supporting people one-on-one across the country\, she has become their real life inspiration. Blending love\, humor\, and song\, Denise shares insight and instruction for what she has found to be the most powerful healer of all... self love.
\n\n Weather-permitting\, the evening will culminate with a survivor butterfly release along the Merrimack River.
