DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the first fall Sunday afternoon in Newburyport by tasting and rating signature cocktail samples from local restaurants in the 2016 Newburyport Charity Cocktail Competition\, organized by Port City Events. This fun-filled fundraiser will be held on Sunday\, September 25th\, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. (Don't worry\, there's no Patriots game on the afternoon of September 25th.)\n\n \n\nTickets ($25) are limited and will be available for purchase at Greetings by Design\, 1 Rear Water Street\, Newburyport and online at CocktailCompetition.yapsody.com.\n\n\n\nHere is how it works. Participants with tickets check in at Michael's Harborside (1 Tournament Wharf\, Newburyport) to pick up their Cocktail Competition T-shirt and a map of participating restaurants. Restaurants include Loretta\, The Grog\, The Port Tavern and others in easy walking distance. After sampling cocktails at each restaurant\, participants return to Michael's Harborside to vote for their favorite signature drink. The restaurant winner will be recognized in the media and have bragging rights as the 2016 Newburyport Best Cocktail Competition Winner.\n\n\n\nAll proceeds benefit Pennies for Poverty\, a Newburyport-based charity whose mission is to reduce poverty and alleviate its devastating impact on individuals and families in Greater Newburyport.?

LOCATION:Buy tickets in advance and then meet at Michael's Harborside (1 Tournament Wharf\, Newburyport) to pick up your T-shirt and map. Then you are off to taste specialty cocktails from some of Newburyport's finest restaurants.
