SUMMARY:Nature and Wildlife Photography Contest
DESCRIPTION:Parker River National Wildlife Refuge has released details about its 2016/17 Nature and Wildlife Photography Contest.  Those wishing to participate in this year's contest may submit matted prints now thru Wednesday\, February 15th\, 2017.  This year's two themed categories are Plum Island Nature and Wildlife and New England Nature & Wildlife.  Each of the two categories will welcome and include the full range of related image types including landscapes\, seascapes\, wildlife\, and plants.  Images captured with any type of camera  including cell phones!...are welcome.  Finally\, entries will be judged within two age categories adult and youth (under age 18).\n\n \n\nA panel of judges comprised of refuge staff and experienced photographers will select this year's contest winners.  The winners will be announced during the refuge's annual Conservation Film Festival (March 3-5\, 2017).  Hunt's Photo\, a contest co-sponsor\, will once again provide the prizes for winners in the various contest categories.  The winning contest entries will be placed on exhibit in the refuge visitor center for the next year.\n\n \n\nContest participants may submit up to two prints.  A $5 application fee will cover one or two entries.  Maximum allowable print size is 8 x 10.  Prints can either be mailed to or dropped off at the refuge visitor center\, seven days per week\, between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.  The visitor center is located at 6 Plum Island Turnpike\, Newburyport\, MA\, 01950.  All prints must be presented in a white matte.
