SUMMARY:17th Annual Regional Juried Art Show
DESCRIPTION:The 17th Annual Regional Juried Show opens this Friday\, April 25 at 11:00a.m. at the Newburyport Art Association located at 65 Water Street in Newburyport MA   it remains a Spring highlight for the Art Association.  Every year submissions\, from members and non-members\, come from far and wide and this year was no exception with over 500 entries.  In the end the Juror had the difficult task of selecting 150 works for the exhibition.  This year the challenge rested with Bruce Brown\, Curator Emeritus of the Center for Maine Contemporary Art.  Works in acrylic\, digital art\, drawing\, fine craft\, mixed media\, oil\, pastel\, photography\, printmaking\, sculpture\, and watercolor are included.  The opening reception (and awards ceremony) is scheduled for Sunday\, April 27\, 3-5p.m.   the event is free and open to the public. \n\n\n\nAwards will include the Best in Show\, Best in each medium category\, as well as NAA Honorable Mentions across the media.\n\n\n\nFor further details\, please call the Newburyport Art Association galleries at 978.465.8769 or visit the NAA website\, www.newburyportart.org
