The Newburyport Lions Club Thanksgiving Day Dinner
November 08, 2017
Newburyport Lions Club Welcomes the Community to Thanksgiving Day Dinner.
Returning for its third year at the Senior/Community Center, located at 331 High Street (in front of the Bresnahan Elementary School, the Newburyport Lions Club once again invites seniors, individuals who may be spending the holiday alone this year, and families who want to share a few hours of conversation, a warm meal and goodwill to join us in a traditional holiday setting.
The Newburyport Lions Club Thanksgiving Day Dinner is made possible through collaborative efforts of many businesses, groups, and volunteers from throughout the community. Anna Jaques Hospital and its amazing staff is instrumental in ensuring the success of our annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner.
All turkeys served are cooked by Anna Jacques Hospital, the “carving crew” from Inn Street Barber Shop will be returning again this year to assist with carving and preparing all the turkeys. Members of the Newburyport Rotary Club, The Newburyport Exchange Club, employees from Market Basket, and many familiar faces of volunteers from Our Neighbors’ Table, Yankee Homecoming, the Community, and so many, many more will be onsite with us this Thanksgiving Day.
Meals scheduled for delivery to homes in the community are packed in thermal isolated bags provided by The Institution for Savings. Many thanks to The Institution for Savings for its continued support of The Newburyport Lions Club efforts throughout the year and helping to keep meals warm for delivery.
