 A Personnel Update from MRFRS
As President of the MRFRS Board of Directors, I want to let you know that Liz Pease, a ten-year veteran of MRFRS and, for the last two years, our Executive Director, has decided to step down as our full-time Executive Director this Friday, November 3. She will continue supporting MRFRS on a part-time basis to assist with continuity and transition of her responsibilities.
This is a bittersweet moment for all of us who care about the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society. During her 10 year tenure, Liz has made countless contributions to our work, first as our Feral Program Coordinator, then as Director of Operations and finally as our Executive Director for the last two years. She’s been a critical part of some of our most successful initiatives on behalf of cats and the people who care about them. Liz is truly the living embodiment of our motto, “Caring for Cats in Need.” She has also been a mentor and role model to our staff members, and a shining ambassador for our organization.
To assure that MRFRS continues to achieve its mission, the Board of Directors has engaged a search firm to find a new, passionate and committed Executive Director to lead us forward. This search is now underway.
I hope that you join the Board and our passionate staff and volunteers in thanking Liz for a decade of dedication to MRFRS, and in wishing her all the best as she embarks on a new direction in her life.
Adrienne Linnell
President, MRFRS Board of Directors
