A Farewell Message From NCMF Executive Director

October 02, 2017
Dearest NCMF community,

Today marks my last day as Executive Director of the Newburyport Chamber Music Festival. I am grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to serve in this role, and my decision to leave has not been easy.

These past three years have been impactful, growth-filled, and meaningful for me on so many levels. I feel so lucky to have been part of this organization, to work with such an incredibly talented and visionary Artistic Director, an enthusiastic Board of Directors, and numerous dedicated volunteer staff, and to interact with such accomplished and inspiring musicians, composers, and artists. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know so many of you and am so thankful for your support and dedication throughout my tenure.

It truly has been a privilege to be part of these efforts to bring such wonderful chamber music into the heart our community. I’m proud of what we have accomplished and continue to hold a strong belief in the power of music to transform people’s lives. As I pursue new opportunities, the arts will remain a central focus of my life.

Our transition period has been going smoothly, as I pass the baton to Newburyport resident and local musician Monica Duncan and I know that you will welcome her with open arms.

I am excited to see how the festival continues to evolve and, as an ongoing fan of NCMF, I will be sitting next to you in the audience enjoying the music from a different perspective.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
With warm regards,
Sativa Saposnek
Executive Director
