2ND ANNUAL OCEANFRONT PLEIN AIR WET PAINT AUCTION TO FEATURE 30 LOCAL ARTISTS
SEPTEMBER 26TH EVENT TO BENEFIT NON-PROFIT SALISBURY BEACH PARTNERSHIP

(Salisbury, MA) --  Experience the beauty of freshly painted ocean-inspired landscapes created by 30 selected local artists at the Second Annual Oceanfront Plein Air Wet Paint Auction on September 26 at the Blue Ocean Event Center, Salisbury Beach.

Artists will begin painting in the morning and work all day to have a finished piece ready for hanging before the event begins with a reception and viewings from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, followed by the auction at 7:30 PM.

Billy Costa, Emmy Award winning host of New England Sports Network’s Dining Playbook, returns this year as guest auctioneer. Attendees are invited to bid on their favorite paintings after indulging in light hors d’oeuvres, mingling with artists, and enjoying live jazz. Proceeds from art sales will benefit the non-profit Salisbury Beach Partnership, with a portion of funds going to the artists who are donating their time, supplies, and talent for the day and evening.

Artists create an original piece of art on the day of the event and could have scenic landscapes, beautiful beaches, marshes, gardens or historic landmarks as their inspiration.  Wet or dry masterpieces will be hung in the Grandview Hall at Blue Ocean Event Center for viewing. Artists will be on-hand to meet and talk about their works of art with attendees.

“We’re excited to bring a talented group of local professional artists to Salisbury Beach for what is promising to be a must-attend event,” said Susan Pawlisheck, auction chairperson. Some of the local artists participating

include: Alan Bull; Jennifer Clement; Heather Fritz; Dennis Hart; Kate Hanlon; Edith Heyck; Sandra Kavanaugh; Susan Kneeland;  Jeff Ventola as well as four Newburyport High School students.

Tickets to the event can be purchased in advance for $30 online at www.beachfests.org. Day-of-event tickets will be available at the door for $35.
Many thanks to Gienapp Design Associates, LLC, a North Shore full-service architectural firm, for being the title sponsor of this event.
