Founded in 1971, Turning Point, Inc., is a private, nonprofit, community based human service agency. Turning Point, Inc. promotes empowerment, independence, and self sufficiency for individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness.
We are seeking caring staff to work in our residential group homes located in Merrimack Valley (Amesbury, Merrimac, Newburyport, and Salisbury), and the North Shore (Beverly, Boxford, Danvers, Middleton, Peabody, Salem, and Topsfield) providing care and support to moderate and high functioning adults with either developmental disabilities or mental health.
Some of the programs in Merrimack Valley also include individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. These programs require that you learn basic sign language; this training is provided. Direct Support Duties: Assisting with community activities, transportation to doctor's appointments and other activities, household chores, cooking, shopping, banking, and personal hygiene support.
Qualifications: Clear verbal and written communication skills and a valid driver's license are required.
