• Parklets & 2027 Ordinance – Discussion around the removal of parklets and what the proposed 2027 ordinance could mean for our downtown restaurants and businesses.
• Witches Night Out October 16– Plans, participation, promotion, and opportunities to drive traffic downtown.

Geordie Vining has worked as the Senior Project Manager for the Newburyport Planning Office for 25 years. Among many projects, Geordie managed the creation of the Clipper City Rail Trail from concept to completion. He also managed design and construction of the Senior Community Center, the John F. Cutter Jr. Fire Station, and the Harbormaster Visiting Boater Facility, as well as co-founded the award-winning Newburyport Black History Initiative.

Outside of his work for the Newburyport Planning Office, Geordie is a photographer who focuses on capturing a range of unplanned photographs of unique “fleeting moments.” Vining writes, “Such pictures can speak to the human condition, tell a story, and hold on to a glimpse of fleeting beauty.” His photographs are nearly all spontaneous and unplanned, ranging from close-ups to wide shots, and from vibrant colors to classic black-and-white. The images are of people; townscapes and cityscapes; landscapes; the natural world; and abstract or ambiguous scenes. Many of the pictures are of his home in New England, but also from other parts of the United States, as well as countries like Norway, Portugal, Canada, France, England, Italy, Croatia, Japan, and a growing list of others. Fleeting moments transform into art.

Face-melting riffs and pure rock 'n' roll joy are here for one more weekend! The Broadway smash hit School of Rock blows the roof off the Firehouse Center for the Arts!

Based on the hit film, this two-act musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed rocker turned substitute teacher who transforms his students into a high-voltage band to win the Battle of the Bands. The show features a stellar adult cast alongside a phenomenally talented group of local kids who play instruments live on stage every single performance. The show showcases 14 new Andrew Lloyd Webber tunes alongside crowd favorites like Stick it to the Man.

This thrilling, professional production is brought to life by an exceptional creative team, directed by James Thomas Turner III with energetic music direction by Firehouse's Artistic Director Justin Knowlton.

Face-melting riffs and pure rock 'n' roll joy are here for one more weekend! The Broadway smash hit School of Rock blows the roof off the Firehouse Center for the Arts!

Based on the hit film, this two-act musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed rocker turned substitute teacher who transforms his students into a high-voltage band to win the Battle of the Bands. The show features a stellar adult cast alongside a phenomenally talented group of local kids who play instruments live on stage every single performance. The show showcases 14 new Andrew Lloyd Webber tunes alongside crowd favorites like Stick it to the Man.

This thrilling, professional production is brought to life by an exceptional creative team, directed by James Thomas Turner III with energetic music direction by Firehouse's Artistic Director Justin Knowlton.

Geordie Vining has worked as the Senior Project Manager for the Newburyport Planning Office for 25 years. Among many projects, Geordie managed the creation of the Clipper City Rail Trail from concept to completion. He also managed design and construction of the Senior Community Center, the John F. Cutter Jr. Fire Station, and the Harbormaster Visiting Boater Facility, as well as co-founded the award-winning Newburyport Black History Initiative.

Outside of his work for the Newburyport Planning Office, Geordie is a photographer who focuses on capturing a range of unplanned photographs of unique “fleeting moments.” Vining writes, “Such pictures can speak to the human condition, tell a story, and hold on to a glimpse of fleeting beauty.” His photographs are nearly all spontaneous and unplanned, ranging from close-ups to wide shots, and from vibrant colors to classic black-and-white. The images are of people; townscapes and cityscapes; landscapes; the natural world; and abstract or ambiguous scenes. Captain Jack & The Strangers, comprised of six individuals hailing from Gloucester, MA with over 30 years of experience in music and performance. The band is fronted by 26-year-old piano phenom, Jack Favazza, who brings a youthful exuberance to this classic American songbook. This group plays a wide catalogue of music from America’s own Piano Man, Billy Joel, spanning his entire musical career from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. About Beatlejuice
For over 24 yrs. Beatlejuice has been faithfully reproducing some of the greatest Beatles songs ever written. Beatlejuice covers every era of the Beatles catalog and onto the solo careers of the boys from Liverpool. Renowned cover band Beatlejuice has been entertaining audiences with spot-on renditions of Beatles classics for more than two decades. Beatlejuice uses a cast of vocalists and arrangements that match the original recordings of the Fab Four note-for-note. Audiences can close their eyes and imagine John, Paul, George and Ringo playing some of the greatest and most influential songs ever written. Beatlejuice performs songs from the full span of the Beatles career, from “Love Me Do” to “Let It Be.” The band was formed in 1994 by the late Brad Delp, renowned vocalist for the band Boston, and drummer John Muzzy from the band Farrenheit. The two friends saw Bob Squires’ Beatles cover band Merseyside play in Newburyport and decided to start their own. Their first official gig was at Bleachers in Salem on a Wednesday night, which Delp and Muzzy advertised with posters that simply said, “ALL BEATLES ALL NIGHT.” The legendary Johnny D’s restaurant and music club in Somerville’s Davis Square served as a home base for the band, which played both nights of every eighth weekend there. Their performances became so popular that the club had to create a special reservation system that would open on Saturday mornings two weeks before the show. After Delp’s passing in 2007, band members Muzzy, Steve Baker, Joe Holaday, Dave Mitchell, Evan Gianoulis and Rich Bartlett continued to perform under the name Beatlejuice and Friends, beginning with memorial concerts for Delp at the Regent Theatre in Arlington. Those friends were a group of vocalists including Mike Girard of The Fools, Jimmy Rogers of Velvet Elvis, Buddy Bernard of Aces & Eights, and Bob Jennings

About Lynch Mob
Lynch Mob was formed by George Lynch in 1989 after the breakup of Dokken, his long time band of which he was a founding member and main song writer. The band signed with Elektra Records, and immediately released “Wicked Sensation” which would go on to achieve gold status. The album received much critical and fan acclaim, and would pave the way for over a dozen records over the next 30+ years. The band is known for it’s high energy, guitar driven, hard rock vibe, while featuring elements of classic rock, blues, metal, with a propensity for improvisation. The current lineup features Lynch, along side of Jimmy D’Anda, Gabriel Colon, and Jaron Gulino. On drums, O.G. BULLETBOYS drummer Jimmy D’Anda brings the band an old school Dr Funkenstein funky, but heavy back beat. He’s also known for being the pie eating champion of Boyle Heights East Los Angeles 84’. Go Rough Riders! Gabriel Colón is a Puerto Rican singer who started his career with a band called Fast Taker. The band would go on to release a top 10 single in Puerto Rico’s rock radio market. Since arriving in the states, he has showcased his wide range of vocal talent with many rock acts including, Gothic Knights, Culprit, White Wizzard, and Rowan Robertson. New Jersey’s own Jaron Gulino brings the east coast attitude and energy. He has prospered in a long career as the bassist in a variety of bands, most notably post-grunge rock band Tantric. Gulino achieved chart topping success with multiple releases from Tantric, as well as performing on many high profile tours and events with numerous other acts. Lynch Mob plans on celebrating the legacy of an incredible history, with shows consisting of classic, career spanning material, as well as a heavy dose of Dokken material.

The Newburyport Chocolate Tour & Market

A sweet stroll with a purpose. The Chocolate Tour is a community-driven tasting experience through the charming streets of downtown Newburyport — where local shops serve up chocolate delights while you explore, shop, and support amazing causes. Every ticket helps fund local nonprofits, so while you indulge, you're giving back. Tickets are $40 per person.

This year, we're expanding with the first-ever Chocolate Market at The Tannery (Mill #1, 50 Water Street) — a curated marketplace to browse, taste, and shop directly from artisan chocolatiers and confectioners, open to all ticketholders, 12:00–4:00 PM.

About Crosswind
Crosswind The Chris Stapleton Experience is the brainchild of Alec Antobenedetto The voice of Crosswind with his uncanny resemblance on vocals and visuals. This is a show for every Chris Stapleton Fan. Alec also oddly enough plays drums for many of the areas most popular bands including the Peacheaters (An Allman Brothers Band Experience) Confounded Bridge (Celebrating the Music of Led Zeppelin), High Energy Dance Band Pieces of Eight and many more. Many people have asked Alec why this Music? “I just heard his voice and over the years it had become more than obvious I had to do this” he replied. So I called up some music buddies my A list friends if you will, and they all jumped in head first. This is such a fun group to be around and we love this music and playing this music for people, seeing their reaction means everything to us.
