About the Band

Scott Brown and the Diplomats is an offshoot of a band formed in New Zealand and recently headed by former US Senator and former US Ambassador Scott Brown. The last event by the band was in Wellington, New Zealand in front of 15,000 fans at Beervanna at Sky Stadium. Playing together for almost 4 years, the band compiled an impressive list of venues and paid appearances. Upon returning from duty in New Zealand, Brown sought out some of the most talented area musicians to reform the band into Scott Brown and the Diplomats.

Run, walk, stroll on the farm. This race combines some of our favorite things - being outside on the farm with family and friends, changing seasons, sipping cider and cider donuts! All ages and levels welcome + encouraged. 5K race routes wiggles through fields, orchards and forest and includes challenging areas with uneven terrain. It's pretty awesome! Kid's Donut Dashes (400m and 800m) start and finish before 5K race begins. So sorry - no pets permitted on the farm.

About AM Gold Yacht Rock

AM GOLD is a New York City based tribute band, performing the adult-contemporary hit songs from the late 1970’s through the mid 1980’s. Artists include Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Huey Lewis, Christopher Cross, Lionel Richie and so many more! Most of this Southern-California based music has recently experienced a revival known to many as Yacht Rock. This smooth style of music has stood the test of time. Baby Come Back!

AM GOLD formed when NYC drummer, Dan Wintersteen threw a Yacht Rock party with musician friends for his 30th birthday. Yacht Rock was something that resonated with him – he grew up sailing with his father in Western New York and spent his high school years working at the local Yacht club:

?“One thing I always noticed was that there was always this adult contemporary pop and jazz-rock music playing at the Yacht Club, so when I heard about Yacht Rock, I was immediately amused and inspired to do something fun with this.”

Dan got some of his musician friends together and performed various shows in the Greenwich Village of NYC. The parties were a huge success and it was apparent that there was demand for this kind of music.

Dan joined forces with NYC singer/saxophonist Jonny Hirsch, also raised by a family of sailors, and launched AM GOLD YACHT ROCK PARTY!

On July 19, 1776, the people of Newburyport gathered at the Meetinghouse in Market Square to hear, for the first time, the Declaration of Independence read aloud. In the wake of that moment, patriot and future Senator Tristram Dalton wrote, “The die is cast. All is at stake. The way is made plain.” For those who assembled that day, the meaning was unmistakable. The struggle was no longer a protest or a petition, but a full commitment to the cause of American liberty.

Two hundred and fifty years later, Newburyport gathers again in the place where those momentous words first echoed across the town. Join neighbors and friends, past and present, along with Revolutionary soldiers, sailors, colonial-era townspeople, Governor Maura Healey, other dignitaries, and special speakers for a community reading of the Declaration of Independence and a commemoration of the courage it demanded. Together, we will renew the promise to “mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor,” and reflect on the enduring truths that all are created equal and entitled to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Throughout the day, Revolutionary townsfolk, soldiers, sailors, demonstrations, music, family activities, and three historic sailing vessels will bring the past to life from Brown Square to the waterfront. Period activities will include artillery and musket demonstrations, arts, crafts, printing, cooking, and tattooing experiences. These activities are designed to build toward the 2 p.m. reading in Market Square and then carry the commemoration forward to the waterfront.

The public reading is the central moment of Newburyport 250 Declaration of Independence Day: The Die Is Cast. The 1:45 p.m. procession will move from Brown Square to Market Square, with a stop at the First Religious Society Unitarian Universalist Church, before the public commemoration begins at 2:00 p.m. in

the heart of downtown. The Market Square program will feature Governor Maura Healey, other dignitaries, special speakers, readings, music, ceremonial salutes, and other public observances recalling the spirit of July 1776.

Following the Market Square program, the public is invited to head to the waterfront to greet the Schooners Ardelle and Isabella, and the Pinnace Virginia, a replica of Maine’s oldest ship. The commemoration will continue with salutes by privateers on board, recalling the maritime world in which Newburyport lived, fought, and sacrificed during the Revolution. All three vessels will remain in port and on view to the public until 5:30 p.m.

This anniversary is both remembrance and recommitment: a chance to stand where Newburyport stood at the founding of our nation, speaking once more these defiant and hopeful words.

The animal-assisted therapy program promotes self-awareness, physical activity, and social interaction for youth. Sessions will focus on social and emotional growth, resilience, and overall well-being.

To celebrate its 5th anniversary, New England’s premier oceanfront vocal competition is officially moving to our main stage on the largest deck on the coast—and we’re leveling things up in a big way. Think ocean breezes, VIP cabanas, bigger crowds, and an elevated production designed for unforgettable summer nights by the sea.

We officially kick things off Wednesday, July 22, launching a five-week residency that brings the community together for nights filled with live music, rising local talent, and pure summer energy. Whether you’re one of our regulars cheering from the deck or a performer chasing your big moment, this stage was built for you.

About the Band

For over 24 yrs. Beatlejuice has been faithfully reproducing some of the greatest Beatles songs ever written. Beatlejuice covers every era of the Beatles catalog and onto the solo careers of the boys from Liverpool. Renowned cover band Beatlejuice has been entertaining audiences with spot-on renditions of Beatles classics for more than two decades. Beatlejuice uses a cast of vocalists and arrangements that match the original recordings of the Fab Four note-for-note. Audiences can close their eyes and imagine John, Paul, George and Ringo playing some of the greatest and most influential songs ever written. Beatlejuice performs songs from the full span of the Beatles career, from “Love Me Do” to “Let It Be.” The band was formed in 1994 by the late Brad Delp, renowned vocalist for the band Boston, and drummer John Muzzy from the band Farrenheit. The two friends saw Bob Squires’ Beatles cover band Merseyside play in Newburyport and decided to start their own. Their first official gig was at Bleachers in Salem on a Wednesday night, which Delp and Muzzy advertised with posters that simply said, “ALL BEATLES ALL NIGHT.” The legendary Johnny D’s restaurant and music club in Somerville’s Davis Square served as a home base for the band, which played both nights of every eighth weekend there. Their performances became so popular that the club had to create a special reservation system that would open on Saturday mornings two weeks before the show. After Delp’s passing in 2007, band members Muzzy, Steve Baker, Joe Holaday, Dave Mitchell, Evan Gianoulis and Rich Bartlett continued to perform under the name Beatlejuice and Friends, beginning with memorial concerts for Delp at the Regent Theatre in Arlington. Those friends were a group of vocalists including Mike Girard of The Fools, Jimmy Rogers of Velvet Elvis, Buddy Bernard of Aces & Eights, and Bob Jennings.

About The Merrimack Valley Concert Band

The Merrimack Valley Concert Band incorporated as it’s own non-profit corporation in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in April 2004 and has been marching in parades and presenting concerts throughout the North Shore and seacoast New Hampshire regions since. The Band repertoire is a broad mix of popular, jazz, swing, patriotic and Broadway tunes taken from the ‘Great American Songbook.’ Instrumentation includes wind instruments, drums, glockenspiel – even a string bass. Members, who range in age from 12 to 90, represent many levels of musical ability and experience!

This is the second year that Newburyport Art has held this exhibit. Coming Home is curated by Artist and Executive Director, Belle Carver Struck.

This exhibit features over 80 works by artists who have a connection to the Newburyport area. Artwork includes oil painting, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, mixed media, collage and pastel. Coming Home will be on view from Wednesday, August 22nd - Saturday, August 22nd, with a free, opening reception on Sunday, July 26th from 4-6pm.

Additionally, Newburyport Art will hold a ticketed panel discussion on Monday, July 27th from 6-8pm, moderated by local storyteller, actor and educator Paul Wann. To celebrate its 5th anniversary, New England’s premier oceanfront vocal competition is officially moving to our main stage on the largest deck on the coast—and we’re leveling things up in a big way. Think ocean breezes, VIP cabanas, bigger crowds, and an elevated production designed for unforgettable summer nights by the sea.

We officially kick things off Wednesday, July 22, launching a five-week residency that brings the community together for nights filled with live music, rising local talent, and pure summer energy. Whether you’re one of our regulars cheering from the deck or a performer chasing your big moment, this stage was built for you.

About the Band
Lisa Love Experience is a TRUE band. Lisa Love and Billy Garzone formed the Lisa Love Experience over 16 years ago with a mission statement: to play great music and entertain the audience as if it were our life’s purpose …because it is! It’s not just the songs they play, but how they play them, with musical inspiration and love for the crowd. Lisa’s amazing ability to connect with the audience and make them part of the experience creates much more than a great show, it creates lasting memories. Their reviews are a testament to that as they perform with musical passion, high energy and a love for what they do and most importantly …a love for the audience.
During the course of their career they have had some absolutely amazing experiences and opportunities, performing well over 1000 shows all over New England and traveling as far as Hawaii. Featured in many popular Boston wedding blogs and Boston wedding magazines (Style Me Pretty, Bliss, I Do …just to name a few). Free Oceanfront Concert

About the Band

The musicians in Desolation Angels are seasoned veterans of the local music scene North of Boston. They came together in winter of 2021 to try to present the music of Bad Company and Paul Rodgers as authentically as possible. The band is comprised of Rick Reda on vocals, Duffy Bouchard on drums, Eric Hanson on keyboards, Adam Elliott on bass, and Brian Fernald and Kevin Meaney on guitars.

Newburyport Art (NAA) is proud to announce Coming Home: A Celebration of Creative Roots, a multi-disciplinary exhibit that highlights artists who grew up in the Newburyport area, and artists who moved to the area as adults – to share how the city influenced their creative practice. This is the second year that Newburyport Art has held this exhibit. Coming Home is curated by Artist and Executive Director, Belle Carver Struck.

This exhibit features over 80 works by artists who have a connection to the Newburyport area. Artwork includes oil painting, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, mixed media, collage and pastel. Coming Home will be on view from Wednesday, August 22nd - Saturday, August 22nd, with a free, opening reception on Sunday, July 26th from 4-6pm.

Additionally, Newburyport Art will hold a ticketed panel discussion on Monday, July 27th from 6-8pm, moderated by local storyteller, actor and educator Paul Wann. The panelists are AJ Smith, Ariele Ebacher, Dylan Metrano, Julie Pike Edmond, and Isabella Schwind. Tickets are available now, $45 for Newburyport Art Members, and $60 for non-members. BulletBoys: The Original Lineup Returns, Ready for a Smooth New Chapter
Formed from the heart of the late ’80s Sunset Strip scene, BulletBoys quickly established themselves as a dynamic force in hard rock, delivering a blues-infused sound that set them apart from the pure glam metal pack. Now, after years of separate paths and various iterations, the gold-selling band is back with the lineup that started it all: Marq Torien, Mick Sweda, Lonnie Vencent, and Jimmy D’Anda. The band’s 1988 self-titled debut, featuring the massive hits “Smooth Up in Ya” and the O’Jays cover “For the Love of Money,” was a critical and commercial success. Albums like 1991’s Freakshow followed, showcasing their sophisticated blend of hard rock grit and undeniable groove. Their videos topped the charts on MTV and still get millions of views on YouTube today.

Meet the Original BulletBoys:
The chemistry of this core four is what defined the band’s signature sound. Here’s a look at the musicians who put the smooth in BulletBoys:
• Marq Torien (Vocals): Iconic vocalist Marq Torien, with infectious hooks and electrifying stage presence, is the charismatic frontman who delivers powerhouse vocals and stage show that never disappoints.
• Mick Sweda (Guitar): Mick Sweda is the architect of the band’s rich, bluesy hard rock sound. His songwriting chops and masterful, guitar work provided the musical foundation that separated BulletBoys from their peers.
• Lonnie Vencent (Bass): Lonnie Vencent delivers the unmistakable low-end pulse that anchors the BulletBoys’ sound, locking the whole machine into the groove only he can create.
• Jimmy D’Anda (Drums): The engine room of the original band, D’Anda’s swagger and bombastic, yet tasteful, drumming provided the necessary
