Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters

According to B.B. King, Ronnie Earl is "one of the most serious blues guitarists you can find today.” Ronnie has played alongside such greats as B. B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, the Allman Brothers Band, Muddy Waters, Big Joe Turner, Otis Rush, Earl King, Junior Wells, and Buddy Guy.

In 1979 Ronnie Earl joined the Roomful of Blues, then a ten-piece ensemble group based in Providence, Rhode Island, where he would spend the next eight years playing and touring while releasing a number of albums with the group. In 1988 Ronnie Earl formed his own band that he called The Broadcasters, named after the first Fender guitar which originally had been labeled The Broadcaster and was distributed in 1950. Ronnie and the Broadcasters have been together more than 25 years as a band.

They recently added a lead singer, Diane Blue, and released their 2015 album "Father's Day."  This CD is a departure from his mostly-instrumental recordings that he usually does, and this time  features Diane Blue prominently on vocals, along with Michael Ledbetter of Chicago's Nick Moss Band.  Also featured are a horn section, with Mario Perrett and Scott Shetler of Boston.  Mr. Earl also features guitar from Larry Lusignan, Tim O'Connor and Nicholas Tabarias.

Here is the current group of distinguished Broadcasters.
Dave Limina, Hammond B3 + Piano
Lorne Entress, Drums
Jim Mouradian, Bass
Forrest Padgett, Drums
Diane Blue, Vocals
